Downtowns (1999-2001)

Downtowns is a portfolio of street photography images. They are candid shots of New York, Boston, New Orleans, Washington, Montreal, and other urban spaces from 1999-2001. The work began on a cross country trip which extended for over two years. It was a time when I moved freely with my backpack and camera. Before phone cameras, these images were taken on 35mm film and out of an urge to document the unusual in the everyday and to connect with my new environments.
